Iranian short film ‘The Wound’ vying in London

Iranian short film ‘The Wound’ has been competing at the seventh edition of the Earl’s Court International Film Festival in London.

Directed by Sahar Nourmonavvar, the short film is about a 9-year-old girl who loses her family due to an earthquake.

The cast members of ‘The Wound’ include Vaniz Afzali and Alireza Labibian.

Also written by Nourmonavvar, the flick has participated in several international film festivals, including the Festival Internacional de Cortometraje UVAQ in Mexico, the 15th annual Red Rock Film Festival, and the 12th edition of the Utah Film Market in the US.

The upcoming edition of the Earl’s Court International Film Festival in London aims to bring the audience a selection of local and international short films.

The event is being held on November 12-19, 2021.
